NRIConnections.com began in 2018 as a simple Facebook page started by our founder, Sheeba from Chicago, with one clear mission: to help people of Indian Muslim descent who live, or hope to live, outside of India find their life partner!

Earlier, Sheeba made introductions by hand, one family at a time, and several of those introductions turned into marriages. As word spread, it became clear the community needed something more permanent.

So in 2020, she built it! Sheeba designed and developed the entire first version of the website herself, from the user interface to the way matches work, in the hours around her full-time job and her family. She is the founder and CEO, and that personal touch is still the heart of the platform.
